This workshop will focus on using art to create positive social change. Kiowa-Choctaw artist and filmmaker Steven Paul Judd will present on how he and other artists use their craft to draw attention to important social issues and spur people to act. Standing Rock, North Dakota, became the focus of worldwide attention on environmental preservation and indigenous rights when members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and their supporters gathered in peaceful resistance to a pipeline threatening clean water and cultural resources.
